If you are an operator of an Ontario public business establishment catering to the public at large, you might want to consider live music. This is especially true if you run a bar or some sort of restaurant.

As you probably already know, the world, it seems, is being a path to Ontario. It seems like people from all four corners of the globe can’t wait to go to Canada and, guess what, Ontario is part of their itinerary. This should not be a surprise. Not by a long shot. Lots of people who visit Ontario-either for the very first time or after repeat visits-make it a point to stop by this city.

There’s just something amazing about the Canadian experience and, in particular, its larger cities like Montreal, Vancouver and Ontario. It really all boils down to the Canadian experience.

With that said, you may be thinking that all these people would love to go to your establishment. Well, you’re more than welcome to think that way, but there’s nothing passive about this. You can’t just roll out the welcome mat and expect the world to beat a path to your door. It is not that simple. It doesn’t work that way.

Just because you built doesn’t necessarily mean that people will come. You have to do something else. You have to do something more. You have to add additional value. That’s how the game is played

If you are completely blind to this, then it’s no surprise that your business continues to struggle. If it continues to struggle long enough, don’t be surprised when your business goes belly up. I say this not to depress you. I definitely don’t say this to upset you, but this is the absolute truth.

Until and unless you start to wake up to these harsh business realities, you probably are not going to make much progress with your business. This is why I highly recommend that you should feature live music for your business. Whether you have a coffee shop, a tearoom, some sort of establishment that serves alcohol or you offer a spot for people to socialize, you need live musical entertainment.

I would suggest that you offer something mellower and more down key. This way, you get a wider market. You’ll get families with small children. You’ll get teenagers. You’ll get college students. You’ll get grad students. In other words, the wider your market, the higher the chance that your business will be sustainable.
